Just Finished Painting. Now its going into the hot box to completely dry. Sorry the photo doesn't look that great, but is shiny and damp. No too bad for a Rush Job.  Thanks for looking.
Merry Christmas ALL!

Michael Jordon - WIP 2 (Late Christmas Gift)

This is what I worked on yesterday. Now I'm down to finishing the shorts. Next is touching up muscles, hands, etc. Then another coat to the background. I worked on this from 12pm to 12am...lol, just laying in values, blending, and mopping out some brush stokes in the clothing. Almost Done, Yay!! Then off to hot box to dry.
For the clothing I used Cad. Med, B. Umber, Home made black (B. Umber and Cobalt Blue), Cad Yellow, and Tit. White

Michael Jordon - WIP (Late Christmas Gift)

I wanted to share my latest painting. I didn't know what to get Gun's sister for Christmas. This girl has everything. Soon, she'll be opening a Sports Bar in Brooklyn. She's such a sweet and giving person.
Her favorite is Michael Jordon. So I found this photo in black and white. Mostly a gray scale, and doing the painting in a different way. The figure is going to be in a warm gray scale and the clothing will be in color.  Planning to finish by tomorrow so it can be dry in time.  Will post finished painting soon.  Why we wait to so late to get last minute stuff...lol?

Inspired to Paint...But when? Helpful Hint.

It's been a while since my last post.  Life has been life, and through it I must bless God for the outcome.   I bless my family for stepping in when it was most needed.  Amen, for family!!!
Inspired to paint, but don't have the desire to lift a brush.  I call this the in between creativity.  Stumped and wondering what to do and when to do it.
How about a challenge?! Find a simple challenge to get your juices going.  Make it short and sweet in the media of your choice. Suggested Size, 5x7 to 6x6.  Oils, acrylics, watercolor, etc.  It should take no more then a 5 hours to setup, start and finish your project.  Maybe less.  If your painting or creativity session has extended past its due time, that only means you're enjoying yourself.  So give it a try soon.
Until next log :), continue on your dream, and God bless.
